Most wanted Sacramento fugitive was accidently released from custody by Mexican authorities.June 20, 2010 CALIFORNIA FUGITIVE NEWS -- Santino Mario Garcia is still most wanted by FBI and police in Sacramento, California for his involvement in a murder that occurred at a residence in the 2800 block of 67th Avenue. Additionally, Garcia had been arrested by Mexican authorities, but was accidently released. Fugitive Santino Mario Garcia still at large On August 26, 2007 at 11:18 p.m., Sacramento Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the aforementioned address. Upon their arrival, Officers found a deceased male victim with gun shot wounds to his head and body. Later, Sacramento homicide detectives identified Santino Mario Garcia as a suspect in the shooting death, and a felony no-bail arrest warrant for Murder was issued for his arrest. It was then discovered Garcia had fled to Mexico. On May 23, 2008, Task Force Agents of the Attorney General of the State of Coahuila, Mexico, arrested Santino Mario Garcia, after a violent attempt by the fugitive to elude Mexican authorities. According to media reports, Garcia was driving sand-colored Ford Explorer with California license plates 7B61126, when task force agents encircled the vehicle. Garcia attempted to reverse the SUV smashing into several other motor vehicles before he was subdued in a mall parking lot located on Independence Boulevard, Torreón, Coahuila. Reportedly, Garcia was surrendered to the authorities of the National Migration Institute to proceed with extradition back to the United States.
