Suspect killer shot security guard - Family offers reward for fugitive.October 17, 2010 TEX-MEX FUGITIVE NEWS -- Up to $6,000 in reward has been offered for the arrest of a suspect killer, Fidencio Maravillo Martinez a.k.a. Fidencio Martiez Maravillo. The fugitive is most wanted by Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Major Case Unit for a conflict homicide, which occurred at a restaurant located off of Interstate 45 in Spring, Texas.
On August 14, 2010, around 1:20 a.m., Fidencio Maravillo Martinez a.k.a. Fidencio Martiez Maravillo entered the Taqueria Arandus Restaurant walked up to the counter and shot the restaurant's security guard 34-year-old Jose Maximino Benitez, multiple times in front of numerous witnesses. Maravillo Martinez then fled the area after climbing into the passenger-side of a white Chrysler 300 parked outside the restaurant. Afterwards, the vehicle was reported stolen from a nearby apartment complex. While the injured security guard was rushed by ambulance to Herman Northwest Hospital where he unfortunately died of the inflicted wounds. According to witnesses at Taqueria Arandas Restaurant and detectives from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit, Fidencio Maravillo Martinez had threatened Officer Jose Maximino Benitez less than a month before the shooting. Purportedly, Benitez had confronted the gunman about illegally parking in the handicap zone in front of Taqueria Arandus Restaurant. Additionally, the family of Security Officer Jose Maximino Benitez has offered $5,000 reward for Maravillo Martinez while Montgomery County Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
