Shots fired at Security outside El Chapparal night clubDENVER FUGITIVE NEWS -- Herber Santiago Godoy is considered the number one fugitive most wanted in Denver, Colorado. Godoy is suspected of killing a security guard outside a popular night club on the West Side. Additionally, the Denver Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Godoy, charging him with Murder in the First Degree, Criminal Attempt 1st Degree Murder, and 1st Degree Assault. Meanwhile, a $2,000 reward is offered for information leading to the capture of this fugitive killer.
Allegedly on May 29, 2009, several fights broke out both inside and outside El Chapparal night club, located at 2727 W. 6th Avenue. El Chapparal Security managed to move the inside fights outside. However, one of the security guard, Alfredo Gonzalez-Ramos, became embroiled in an argument with two individuals, David Cano-Rivera and Herber Santiago Godoy. Once outside, Godoy pulled a handgun and shot Gonzalez-Ramos. Both Cano-Rivera and Godoy then ran to a vehicle described as a dark colored sports car. As the suspects drove away, several more shots were fired from the car hitting a second security guard. Both security guards were transported to Denver Health Medical Center, one security guard survived, but 33-year-old Gonzalez-Ramos died of the wound inflicted by Godoy. On June 3, 2009, David Cano-Rivera was arrested by Denver Police, but then released from the Denver City Jail pending further investigation. Cano-Rivera was being held for Accessory to 1st Degree Murder. El Chapparal Killer is described as:
