Tony Caro On February 4, 2010, it is alleged Caro engaged in an argument with Hugo Armand Navarro over Navarro's relationship with Caro's ex-girlfriend outside the Elgin city residence. Caro then shot Navarro four times in the chest and once in the head killing the man at the scene. Caro is then believed to have begun his flight to escape legal prosecution.
