Rock Island Homicide - Most Wanted Ira Lee ClarkMIDWEST NEWS -- Fugitive, Ira Lee Clark is most wanted for first-degree murder by Rock Island Police in Illinois. A warrant for the arrest of Clark was issued on December 26, 2008.
Ira Lee Clark is believed responsible for shooting Freddie Anthony Solis in the head while in the area of 6th Street and 17th Avenue on December 23, 2008. Purportedly, Solis and his brother were parked in a sport utility vehicle on Tuesday night around 9:40 p.m., when Clark opened fire. Solis's brother transported the wounded man to the closest family residence. When Rock Island Police Officers arrived at the 1200 block of 4th Avenue where they found Solis still in the sport utility vehicle, parked in front of the residence of his relatives. Solis was then transported by ambulance to Trinity Medical Center-West Campus in Rock Island where he died at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Rock Island police have not discussed the motive for Ira Lee Clark's attack on Solis, but did express that he may have fled to Tennessee seeking refuge with relatives. However, Rock Island, Illinois is part of the Quad Cities geographic region of the Mid-Mississippi Valley. Quad Cities includes five cities as well as several smaller communities in Iowa and Illinois. Therefore, Ira Lee Clark could possibly be hiding in any of the following cities within the Quad Cities metropolitan area:
