Quick thinking of Club's security prevented possible killing spree.October 20, 2010 ORANGEBURG COUNTY SC FUGITIVE NEWS -- A Harleyville, South Carolina fugitive is most wanted on charges of murder and attempted murder. Rodney Allen Neals while attempting to enter the Allen Murray Club in Bowman fatally shot 31-year-old Deshon Potts and wounded James Robinson. Rodney Allen Neals is most wanted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and is considered armed and dangerous.
Purportedly on October 17, 2010 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Rodney Allen Neals was refused entry to the Allen Murray Club located on Foilage Road. Believed to be already intoxicated, Neals began arguing with the club's security. Eventually, the drunken man went to his vehicle and then returned to the entrance with a firearm. As the drunk approached the establishment from the parking lot, club security saw Neals carrying the gun. The bouncers immediately closed and locked the door to the club. However, Neals then fired several rounds through the door striking two members of security team, Deshon Potts and James Robinson. Deshon Potts died immediately at the scene while Robinson received medical treatment for a superficial wound. Additionally, seventy-five patrons were inside the Allen Murray Club at the time of the shooting incident. Therefore, it should be noted that the quick thinking of the security team in closing and locking the entrance door may have prevented a killing spree. Meanwhile, Rodney Allen Neals remains a fugitive at large. This drunk has a violent criminal history in March he was arrested for assault and battery with intent to kill.
