Carlos Backazar most wanted fugitive killer On April 1, 2004, the trio is believed to have broken into Julian Hernandez's mobile home in rural Adair County about two miles northeast of Stillwell, Oklahoma to rob him of his money. However, Hernandez fought back against the trio's attack, but was eventually shot with a .22 caliber rifle to overcome his resistance. Both Gonzalis and Martinez have been captured. Gonzalis was adjudicated as a youthful offender in January 2005 and placed on probation for conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Martinez plead guilty to one count of murder and an amended count of conspiracy to commit robbery. Meanwhile, Benito Jesus Frausto remains a fugitive at-large. Frausto was last seen in Tulsa, Oklahoma leaving Saint Francis Hospital at approximately 8:00 p.m., three days after the murder on April 4, 2004. Frausto is believed to have fled to Mexico. Additionally, Frausto's mother lives in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
