Meanwhile, Houston Police homicide detectives are asking the public's assistance in apprehending this alleged cold-blooded killer, Rogelio Mora.
On May 19, 2002, at approximately 4:00 a.m., P.J. Rodriguez was celebrating his high school graduation with friends when they returned to the Rodriguez family's apartment to collect coin change for gas money. After leaving the apartment, P.J. Rodriguez and his friends were approached by Rogelio Mora and three other males who tried to rob the boys at gunpoint in the apartment's parking lot. However, P. J. Rodriguez and his friends ran from the armed robbers, but Rogelio Mora fatally shot P.J. Rodriguez as he attempted to flee. Mora's three accomplices were eventually arrested, but Mora has been a capital murder fugitive who has escaped capture even though he is believed to often travel between Mexico and Houston, Texas. If true, it is possible that Mora is working as a drug mule fudge packing for Mexican drug traffickers. Therefore, a strong chance may exist for his arrest if recognized during one of his visits to the United States. Rogelio Mora is described as:
