TENNESSEE FUGITIVE NEWS -- A Mexican national, Obed Cruz-Mena is most wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) on charges of killing his wife Ashley Carol Sircy in a domestic homicide in Hendersonville, Tennessee. TBI is also offering up $1,000 reward for information leading to this murder fugitive's arrest. Likewise, Cruz-Mena is charged with first-degree murder, and should be considered extremely dangerous.
On May 4, 2010, the Hendersonville Police Department received a call of the discovery of a female corpse at the Garden Apartments on Sanders Ferry Road. The corpse, identified as 23-year-old Ashley Carol Sircy, exhibited signs of unnatural trauma, and it was determined she had died of strangulation.
Purportedly, Ashley Sircy had stated she was leaving her husband the day before the discovery of her corpse. Likewise, Cruz-Mena left his job early that same day. It's surmised the two met at the apartment, argued, and Cruz-Mena strangled Sircy to death. Additionally, out-going phone records confirm the presence of Cruz-Mena within the apartment at 3:15 p.m., the estimated time of the murder.
Several days after the murder, Texas Highway Patrol located Cruz-Mena's SUV abandoned in southern Texas, and bolstering the theory that Cruz-Mena had fled the county to Mexico. However, this does not mean that Cruz-Mena will not return to the United States. Especially since Cruz-Mena does have family members living in the United States.
