Fugitive Manuel Soliz is motive for committing a murder on New Year's Eve 2008 is unknown.May 10, 2010 A man identified as Manuel Soliz a.k.a. Jesus Piedrais is believed to have stabbed Jose Pedro Lopez several times and then left him to die in Falls Church, Virginia. Fairfax County Police investigating the homicide proceeded to obtain a murder warrant for Soliz's arrest. However, Soliz has remained a fugitive at large since January 2008.
Evidently, 18-year-old Jose Pedro Lopez was found at approximately 12:45 a.m. lying on the ground in front of an apartment building in the 6000 block of Knollwood Drive on New Year's Eve. Lopez was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Allegedly, both Manuel Soliz and Lopez began to argue and fight. Then Soliz stabbed Lopez repeatedly in the upper torso. Police have no indication that two knew each other, so the motive for this killing is considered nonspecific. Although, the murder occurred within the housing project where Soliz lived, and just outside of his apartment building at 6018 Knollwood Drive. Manuel Soliz a.k.a. Jesus Piedrais is described as:
